I. Introduction:


Aparat is a video sharing platform which has gained rank #56 in global internet traffic and engagement over the past 90 days (based on Alexa, 14 October 2020). Currently, there are 11 million videos on Aparat most in Persian. Total duration of available videos on Aparat has been more than 26 million minutes. The traffic of Aparat is over 5 million hours per month. Moreover, Aparat has now over 50 million monthly visitors.

II. Online Video Marketing:


The video marketing is the ability to use produced video narrative as a way to communicate to the business audiences. It is using video content to reach the desired audience and promote the brand, service, or product. The result is one of the most powerful and prolific communication tools the world has ever known. Humans are visual creatures, so it’s no surprise that they love videos. So, video is an essential marketing tool for businesses and marketers.

To develop an effective video marketing strategy, we should follow:

Allocating resources: We need to designate some budget for video – at the least, decent equipment, good editing software, and a video marketing guru (or, better, team) – as well as time to create it.
Writing the Story & Scenario: Storytelling is a main important part of an effective video marketing.
Engaging: It’s not enough to simply tell stories; we must engage the audience by writing amazing stories.
Creating Video: After writing the story, it should be transformed into a well design video.
Publishing: At this stage, videos should be published in wellknown platforms, then promotion starts.
Analyzing: At this stage, we can track the metrics and stats, to determine which videos do the best – and why.

Quality and Formats: Aparat users can load videos with a wide range of formats. The list of possible formats in Aparat is wmv, mov, qt, 3gp, 3gp2, mpg, mpeg, mp1, m1v, m1a, m2a, mpa, mpv, mpe, mp4, avi, flv, mkv, webm, etc.

Video Categories: All the videos released on Aparat are categorized. When releasing a video content, the releaser must determine its category as well. Aparat offers various categories as below:

Official and Approved Channels: In Aparat, the channels related to legal persons and institutions are approved by their own request, and they can have official activity.

Channels with Membership Fee: The videos released in Aparat are provided for all the users by default. However, users can set a subscription price for their loaded videos and thus make financial profit.

Embedding Videos: Aparat, as in the form of video sharing services, has the feature of video embedding. By means of this feature, users can display the posted videos on Aparat in their own websites without having to save the videos on a separate server.

Downloading Videos: Unlike Youtube, Aparat provides users with the feature of downloading videos inside the site. By means of this feature, users can save all the videos without needing to third party download services.

Live Events: This service hosts hundreds of live broadcasts daily with various topics, including a variety of game streams and webinars.

Online Films: Filimo is the online film watching service on Aparat. Users can watch films and serials with a wide range of genres.

Monetization Program: Aparat gives users the opportunity to make money from their own videos. The users should create a channel at first, promote it by creating and publishing interesting videos, and then apply for monetization program.

Advertising Videos: Besides regular videos which is usually uploaded by regular users (without any fee) and are watched by many other users (usually without any fee), there are also advertising videos and contents on Aparat. These videos and contents help advertiser to promote their product, service and brand more rapidly.


IV. Types of Advertising Plans on Aparat:


Skippable in-stream video ads: This type of advertising video is shown either before or during the main video, and viewers can choose to skip these ads after 5 seconds.

Non-skippable in-stream video ads: These videos must be watched before the main video can be viewed. These are 15 or 20 seconds in length.

Video Boosting Plan: In this plan, advertiser can order a desired number of views for an advertising video to show. Once the number of views is done, the ad will terminate.

Video Filtering: The advertising videos can be filtered by advertisers to be shown just on a specific category, or shown to users from a geographical region.

Native Banner Ads: A native banner, which is consistent with the form, style and theme of the advertising video, appears, in this plan, next to the video.

Advertising Logo: An advertising logo - a banner revealing the company’s possibilities and potential through a visual representation of a brand - is shown before videos.

Pause and Play Banner: A banner which is appeared on the video when video is paused by viewer, and disappeared when it is played.

Vitrine of Videos: The videos which are shown at top of every category on main page.

  1. No one is going to give you 550k TONs up front my friend. Those days are over ))). Everything has to be on KPIs. The only up front costs are those associated with integration (+/-100 to 200k), but there is no integration here. It’s just marketing/promotion. Not to mention that the things you are looking for do not cost $550k in USD, which is about what the token is worth right now.

That is not how partnerships work. That’s called “Give me money and I will go buy what I need.” Sorry my friend, that is also not how it works. That’s not a partnership. That’s asking for financing. Free TON is not an investor or a fund.

  3. I don’t think you understand what KPIs are. None of your “KPIs” are KPIs. KPIs are wallets and users. In other words, measurable growth, not “Videos will be seen by this many people.” That means nothing.

We have a SMM sub-governance group, and ambassadors sub-governance group, and shortly we will have a PR sub-governance group. We are also talking with major influencers and opinion leaders who are know worldwide, who will do everything you have written out and more, and even they bring real numbers of users in KPIs as partners. And they don’t ask anywhere near this in tokens.

A partnership means you have a business with measurable value. In exchange for that value you can receive TONs if you bring it to the network. If you need to do things like buy equipment, then you need to go to a bank, get a loan, and go buy them. Then grow your business, attain the value, and then bring something tangible to the network. I’m repeating myself, but Free TON is not a charity. This proposal makes no sense.

Sorry friend, this proposal will never fly in my opinion. You need to completely rethink this and begin to understand what a partnership means. Shortly we will be publishing some guidelines for this.

Really, we expected a warmer welcome from Free TON.

Anyway, I’m glad your comments brought me opportunities to talk about this proposal.

I divide my responses into two parts.

Part 1: KPIs for Free TON

I completely agree with you that the KPI should be a “guaranteed result”. This is our job in Aparat and we are experts in it. So with our team, we searched all the Free TON chats and other possible places to find a “referral program” to use in the proposal. Sincerely yours, but there was no such thing at all.

Currently, some promotional programs are being implemented to bring users to Free TON. For example, the Bitcointalk and Altcoinstalks campaigns are currently active. Unfortunately, there are no criteria for determining the effectiveness of such programs. It is not possible to determine the exact number of members and wallets they brought to Freeton. I saw that the a person just uploaded a photo as these programs’ perfromances:

The effort of the team is very commendable and I saw that they worked hard, but unfortunately this method is not at all reliable for claiming performance. How can it be proven that the +108 people were the result of their efforts?

This is a problem of your platform, not theirs.

If there was such a referral program in Free TON, you would definitely see it in our offer.

Part 2: What the Aparat is and what it can do

On average, 36 million unique monthly followers follow Aparat. That is, if Aparat was a country, it would be as populous as Morocco. Aparat users have also watched more than 180 million minutes of video per day and uploaded more than five million and 411 thousand minutes of video on their channels.

I wasn’t trying to be cold, but I can see where it can be interpreted as such. I was trying to be rather blunt, because with all due respect, the proposal in its current format comes off rather hasty itself. So let’s try again.

We need to rework it. Vatic is from the community and responded to you. I think he can help. I think I can help as well. As I stated, there will be some clearer guidelines coming in the next several days, and they will be posted in the partnership proposals section here in the forum. So let’s use those as a jumping-off point, because obviously there is value in a partnership between Free TON and Aparat. There’s no doubt about that. It just needs to appeal to both sides.

Payment in arrears: 300K TONs

Stage 2:

KPIs: 30,000 TONs for every 10,000 active users (Refer to Section VI: Verification Methods)
Payment in arrears (Capped): 850K TONs


VI. Verification Methods:


First of all, I would like to mention that the best way for verification which Aparat prefers is an official referral program. In comparison to the unformal verification methods, the most important benefits of an official referral program are:

1 Preventing manual and time-consuming actions
2 Avoiding mistakes in counting
3 Reliable results
4 Online reporting
5 Attracting more promoters who like to act clearly
6 And more importantly, the new users will trust you and they are more likely to stay with Free TON.

To the best of our knowledge, powerful and distinguished ambassadors and partners always prefer an official referral program for a long-term collaboration.

As far as we get to know, Free TON referral program is under construction. However, as we can not make sure if it will be launch in near future or not, we have suggested two methods for verification as follows:

Method #1:

In the case of providing such an official referral program, every new user coming with Aparat referral link is counted as a new active user. Therefore, the ratio of number of users completed the registration and the number of active users joined Free TON (conversion ratio) will be calculated as 1:1.

Method #2:

If an official referral program can not be launched in near future, Aparat can show its achievements by the use of google forms or any other trusted analytics program. In this case, we should note that the number of members who filled the form can not show the achievements of Aparat correctly, as filling the form is an extra action and most of new members will find it a waste of time. This means that although the new members come through Aparat, they will not fill the form necessarily, if it has no extra benefit for them. Therefore, the conversion ratio will be calculated as 1:10.

I am trying to understand your offer. Is this an accurate summary:

  • Aparat will make video and banner ads for Free TON
  • Aparat will put these ads on its platform
  • Aparat will track clicks to Free TON website from ads
  • Ad click-through is assumed to be adoption at 1:1 (assumes 100% conversion rate)
  1. Can you please explain how “new user” is determined/verified? This is not clear to me:

  1. Can you please provide the current pricing for buying ads on Aparat?
  2. Why not just sell ads to the Free TON community for crystals?
  3. If Aparat needs to develop capability to create digital media/ads, it may be better to use existing digital media company that already has these capabilities.

In my opinion, it would be much smarter for the Free TON community to buy a small number of test banners/ads on Aparat and measure the click-through rate (advertising efficiency = clicks/TON or new users/TON). This can be accomplished with a small budget (10-20k crystals). If the results are good, it can then be scaled up. It doesn’t make sense to commit huge funding amounts before we know if this will be effective and efficient.

[General comment for Free TON community: The majority of new potential partners are proposing/expecting huge upfront sums (even for immature concepts, unproven ideas, etc). I believe it is very important for our community to correct this expectation. If we can demonstrate consistent good business discipline for all future partnerships, this will improve over time. I feel like the goal for some is to get a “jackpot” approval for a huge amount of crystals (upfront and KPI), instead of developing real, value-adding, mutually beneficial integrations. We should prioritize partnership proposals that grow the ecosystem with creative technical integrations and new use cases.]
